A Jagged Edge is an art studio specializing in one-of-a-kind pieces created by artist Leslie Rose, who is strongly inspired by a lifelong love of horses and the powerful bonds that they can form with their people. The business name is named after Leslie's cherished grey Half-Arabian, LR Jagged Edge, whose influence continues to shape both the heart and direction of her work.
Self-taught and creating since childhood, Leslie has been sculpting and offering her art to the public since 2012. Her work is best known for its detailed, expressive and often whimsical equine sculpture's - pieces designed to capture more than just appearance, but personality, spirit and connection. In addition to horses, Leslie occasionally creates custom sculptures of turtles, octopi, and other unique subjects, as well as drawing life size equine portraits in pencil and charcoal. Although not always advertised Leslie also creates custom horsehair jewelry and keepsakes from passed beloved horses, to help their owners remember truly how great their equine partner truly was.
Catering primarily to the horse industry, A Jagged Edge specializes in meaningful equine keepsakes that honor both present partnerships and beloved companions from the past. Every piece is meticulously handmade and intentionally one of a kind - similar, but never the same - reflecting the individuality of each horse the and the story behind it.
